SERVICES

As your personal trainer I will be 100% committed to helping you achieve your fitness goals.  My group kettlebell classes are always highly varied and fun, and a great way to improve your fitness or supplement any other form of training you already do.  I provide group classes both in person and on Zoom.  As a Polestar Pilates teacher I provide a weekly Pilates group class that also incorporate the Franklin Method and DNS training for a unique approach to Pilates.

PERSONAL TRAINING

 

If you have very specific goals, are training for a particular event or want to improve at your sport, then one-to-one training will deliver the best results as each session will be geared to your specific needs. Furthermore, you will be given a programme of additional exercises to follow which will all contribute towards your short and long-term goals.

Kettlebell class, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire
KETTLEBELL GROUP CLASSES

I have almost twenty years of experience as a kettlebell instructor, and have taught group kettlebell classes since 2009.  I have been teaching kettlebell classes in Knaresborough since September 2024.

​

Next Beginner Class - 6.00 pm Tuesday 17th September

​

I am now taking bookings to join my next beginner course.  The class will take place at King Jame's School, Knaresborough.  The beginner course will last 10 weeks at a cost of £10 per week on a pay as you go basis. Providing you can attend at least 6 out of 10 classes, you will learn all the basics of kettlebell training. It's not a problem if you miss the first couple of weeks.

Intermediate / Advanced Class - 6.30pm Monday 

​

If you have previously trained with a kettlebell and know how to do kettlebell swings, snatches and the clean and press, which I regard the core kettlebell moves, then you can join my existing in-person class. This takes place at 6.30pm on Monday at King James's School.  Email for more details.

Online Kettlebell Classes

I also run online kettlebell classes three days a week.  The classes are also recorded so you can do them in your own time, if you can not make the live class.  If you have experience using a kettlebell and would like to join the online classes then do get in touch.  The online classes take place at the following times:

Pilates class, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire
PILATES CLASSES

I teach a Pilates class for both complete beginners and those who have prior experience at Inspire Youth Yorkshire on Halfpenny Close, HG5 0TG.  Pilates is a great way to improve core strength, mobility, posture, body awareness, alignment and breathing.  Cost per one hour class is £10.  Come and try your first class for FREE.

Fitness Pilates Class - 6pm Wednesday.  This is for anyone that is already reasonably fit, has tried some Pilates in the past and has no underlying health issues, such osteoporosis, stenosis, etc.  

​

Beginner / Intermediate Class - 7.15pm Wednesday.  If you have no prior experience and/or have an underlying health issue then you should start in this class.

Franklin Method, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire
FRANKLIN METHOD

 

I'm a Level 3 Franklin Method Educator.  I incorporate the Franklin Method in both my Pilates teaching and with my personal training clients.  The Franklin Method is a way to learn about the detail of human movement and uses imagery to help people better co-ordinate their movements, improve movement efficiency, reduce the risk of injury and improve performance.  I have personally found the Franklin Method to be invaluable when competing in long distance races.  It has helped me both mentally and physically.  Since incorporating the Franklin Method as part of my own training processes I have not suffered a single injury and I quickly went from being an over pronator to a neutral runner.
